This is the WGM Special of Morrie Wheeler and Jack Gow using a Matchless G80 engine and, impressively for 1951, disc brakes.
The more I consider the nature of speed, the more mysterious I find it.

That's right. Well found. The two builders were aeronautical engineers which may explain their avant garde design. Front-wheel drive too.
