In 1968 this car was crashed and 'repaired' by the then owner

That's right, yes.
Apparently the owner who repaired it didn't know how to bend metal, so he just made the body out of straight bits!
It must have given Bill Towns some ideas!

I haven't looked on the Net but there probably aren't any out there either.

I know who built the car and I have additional pictures. I could either hijack your puzzle (new puzzle cars are so hard to find) or I could add the information (puzzle points are so hard to get). Which way do you prefer?

I'd be happy for you to hijack the puzzle and offer another point for the name of the body builder.
As an Editor you can move it back to the board of your choice, but you'd need to amend the title so it doesn't read 'solved'.

I've found this car as Langel Ford "Sataflu" (Not sure about the word). Metal sheet body. Ford V6 2.6 liters with three Weber twin carburetors by Georges and Jacques Langel. First show 1964 at Lignieres, France

Well found, the bodywork was done by Jacques Langel. Not sure about the name either, but I found two sources calling it Satail.

The press cuttings refer to the engine as a V6, but just to keep the record straight, it's a straight-6 with Raymond Mays head and triple Weber carbs.  I assume so anyway. The car is a rebodied AC Ace -Zephyr, but I suppose they could have dropped in a Cologne Ford V6. Seems unlikely.

Hard to work out how three twin-choke Weber carbs could fit on a V6, whereas they were normal on the Mays-head Zephyr-six engine.

Quite so.  The car must almost certainly have the 2553 cc straight six Zephyr engine it always had!
