This looks like 'Wolfwankel', a VW Golf MK I-based dragster, powered by a 450 PS Mazda RX-7 rotary engine.

Aha, I'm heading over to France late tomorrow too, to visit the Chantilly Concours just of the day on Sunday, before quickly heading back to a (hopefully cooler) England to help continue putting the final touches to this year's Goodwood Festival of Speed, which kicks-off in just six days time
