Tell me what you can about this car.

(I apologise for the picture quality - it had to be reduced from an enormous size and this is the best I could do. No doubt some of you could have done a lot better!)

I think that may be Ken Rawlings' 1949 trials car, Buttercup, which was built using a Standard Vanguard engine and other Standard-Triumph components and which is held to have influenced the S-T management to build what became the Triumph TR2.
Opinionated but sometimes wrong

I'm afraid it's not that car, but it was a good guess. Right period.

Looks like J.Onslow-Bartlett's Trials special with an 1100cc JAP engine at the rear.

Well solved TT.  Leslie Onslow-Bartlett was a fairly prolific car builder - he built another trials special on traditional lines plus a Riley-engined single-seater we've has as a previous puzzle, plus others which I can't mention in case I want to use them!

Another point to you.
