I could never find anything out about it before but after a big more digging I have found the following.
It says the car was built in the 1950s and was campaigned successfully throughout the fifties. Strange there's so little information about it and it's odd the dealer reckoned it was built in 1962! Perhaps he mis-concluded that from the licence plate...

This beautiful machine is entirely handmade as were many of the coach-style builds during the day including all body work being hand rolled, hammered and bent into shape. During the mid 50s, the Lancia roadster was campaigned all around Europe winning the majority of races it competed in. Powering this rare Italian roadster is a Lancia 2.5-liter, V6 with a single Weber carburetor good for around 130 horsepower! The vehicle is being serviced and slightly restored at the shop, then again for a 60+ year old vehicle most things have to be custom made at this point.
The first on the to-do list is a complete electrical overhaul. Pictured is the fuse box tucked in the engine bay and looking a bit plain for modern day standards. Other than the electrical, the suspension is being rebuilt including all bushings, linkages and bearings – should make for a fun day.
The next major change will be removing all the metal pieces like the front grill, Lancia emblem, and headlight metal surround among many others and send them off to be re-chromed. By the time these pieces come back the Lancia will bling like the day it rolled off the assembly plant in Turin, Italy! Expect to see a full feature photo shoot of this rare red gem in the coming weeks.
