1965 Mazda Light Bus Type A (AEVA) w body by Kawasaki Aircraft Industry.  The Mistubishi star is present because this bus was used (perhaps owned) by the Mitsubishi company (and the star made a good "red herring")

Very modern design coming from the 60s.
I found this bus online a couple of months ago, and was also mislead by the Mitsubishi logo.
