Yes. kit builder Ric Murphy made the car he named Royal Saber on the base of a Ford Mustang II V6, using modified Gazelle panels. He also built a second unit, shown below, for Walt Adams of Illinois.

Looking at the radiator it should rather be Sabre than Saber.

You're right, it does say Sabre there! Ric Murphy refers to it as "Saber" several times on his own website. Maybe the fact that it's been quite some time since he built it (he says he started to work on it in 1980) has made him misremember its name when he wrote the article for the web. The license plate of the second unit (see below) also adds to the confusion.

"Saber" is of course the American spelling of "Sabre"...!
