A fine English car for once, albeit with a Scottish registration number!
That's an 18/22 h.p. Armstrong Whitworth car from 1908.

That's right! This car is on exhibition at the Beamish Museum in County Durham. Some sources date it as a 1906 model, but Wikicommons agrees with you that it's from 1908. I haven't found any reference to its hp rating but I'll take your word for it!

It was Dated by the Veteran Car Club some time ago, and the h.p. details and year are as per the VCC listing.
Beamish is reasonably near Newcastle, where the car was built, so quite a suitable place for it.
