Topic: Arunas' vintage mystery car - ID needed (not a real puzzle)

Hello All,

I am looking forward to receiving ID (with some proof, please) of this car.

I bought this vintage pre-war photograph this weekend and now I try to identify the brand of this car. Your thoughts an ideas are more than welcome!
Regarding this interesting photograph, the seller said that it was sent from the USA to Lithuania before WW2. Whatever is hand written on the back side is no longer readable. The photograph can be 80-90 years old.. Some interesting facts visible in the photograph:

1) The photograph was made by F.A. Drukteinis Photo Studio. Guess what! A quick googling reveals that he (Lithuanian, of course!!) was an early Michigan photographer.... (1916-1923 Drukteinis, Frank A.) ---> http://clements.umich.edu/eadadd/tinder_directory.pdf Now I have a very good time frame!
2) I was able to zoom in the badge silhouette. It looks much familiar, but I cannot recognize it...
3) I was also able to zoom in what is written in the window! It says:

"Automobile for sale.
1917
CHLMERS 7 PASSE
FOR $ 650"

I think it is not Chalmers car. At least its logo is completely different. So the mystery is open to you! What is this car??

My guess was and is Essex.

I'd have said Overland, or Willys-Overland but the badge is wrong.

There is a picture of a Chalmers Six, model 7 passengers Touring and it's pretty close.
But still the badge doesn't match.
Looks more like the Saxon's:

I also believe this is a 1917 Chalmers.  There is a fair chance that the radiator badge is just a random accessory, added to the car after manufacture.

Here is a 1915 Chalmers that looks a great deal like the 'puzzle' image.

The characteristic that led me to Overland is that there are no front dumbirons so it has not got half-elliptic front springs.
There is no transverse spring (as in Ford) to be seen but that doesn't mean there isn't one.
Chalmers and Essex have semi-elliptic front springs.
