Please identify this vehicle and builder for one point:

Lavrakas

I have a photo of it trailing Arthur Mallock's U2 in 1962, but no mention of what it is. A guess is Mike Pilbeam's first car from 1959.
The more I consider the nature of speed, the more mysterious I find it.

Funny thing is I first saw this car in that very same photo. Not Pilbeam, however.

It looks familiar but I'm certainly not certain!
I think I remember the early Len Terry designed Terrier Ford-engined car that Brian Hart owned and drove looked like that, so that's my guess for the moment.
Opinionated but sometimes wrong

Sorry, but not that.

Ironically I now have a photo of this car racing a Yimkin at Silverstone - and recognisable by its reg.no - but labelled a Terrier. Do you have it as a DRW?

No. By the way, I have detailed information on this vehicle from multiple sources, including several online sources. It is not terribly obscure.

The front suspension looks very similar to a Lotus 6 - any connection?

No, the suspension in this car is of much more humble origin.

It looks like the split Ford axle used by so many 'Ford Specials' and that separates it from the visually similar Yimkins and Terriers. Is it an 1172 unique car, or was it manufactured on a small scale.

Manufactured on a small scale, to be customized with different different engine options, etc.

Is it Arthur Mallock in the U2 ?

Is it either a Milmor or an Aquila?

It is a Milmor. Locked for you to provide the model and builder.

It is the Brian Small Milmor mkV 1172. I cannot find who originally built them, but this one was prepared by the owner. It was very successful coming second in the 1172 Formula championship in 63, 65 and 66, and 1st in 64.
