Identify this bus (chassis and coachbuilder) for a point:
-
Experts?
-
Ford Transit-Bus by Union City Body.

Ford Transit-Bus by Union City Body.
It is a Ford Transit Bus (which model?), but not by Union City Body.
-
Called "Universal Bus"? Body by Brantford Coach & Body?

Brantford Coach is correct! The Ford chassis had a simple alpha-numeric model designation. LOCKED for you to provide the model designation.
-
What's on with "9B"?
-
So close! Missing a digit.
-
49B?
-
Lower first digit

My info on the type designation of this bus:
*9B means: * = a number between 0 and 7, depending on the
Year of construction 0=1940 and so on until 1947
9 = 239-cubic inch V8 engine
B = bus
Since I don't know the year of construction of the puzzle bus, I would have to roll a number between 0 and 3.
Furthermore, there is information that Brantford Coach only built bodies for Canada. All the US buses are said to have been manufactured by Union City Body.
Edit: Quote: "Between 1941 and 1943 most of the Ford Transit buses sold to Canadian operators were built at Windsor and exact copies of the Union City body were produced for them by Brantford Coach & Body."
So it could be 19B, 29B or 39B.

I wasn't aware of this. Thanks for that information!

Care to take a guess which one of these applies to the puzzle bus? ;)
Still LOCKED for you.

29B

29B
Wrong one. Try again.
-
19B?

19B?
That's it!

Thank you for puzzle and point!
