....not a problem! We can still mess about on our own. The attached picture attempts to match the puzzle car to a more obvious example of the Vulcan make.

I  thought of Vulcan too, until I found this picture in my archive. It is a 1915 De P. : the name can be found written on the side of the bonnet.

1914 seems to be the correct date. There is more information on the internet. De P stands for De Peyrecave, the man behind the Duo cyclecar.

The editors have agreed to call this puzzle solved in the absence of the OP.  De P appear to have built 2 different models and the 8hp V-twin looks identical to the Duo, so I reckon this is the 10hp Dorman-powered car.
I must be right - that's what it says on Wikipedia
