I'm fascinated by all those rivets in the bodywork, and the fact that the number roundel appears to be made of metal and fixed to the body, when painting it on would be more simple.
European ?

It is from Poland, and while not one of the Rak cars, it is a close enough relative to earn you a lock. Locked for you to identify the make/model, engine, and builders.

I've tried every prompt word I can think of, but can find nothing on the 'net. I know the information is contained in a certain book, but I don't have it. At least 2 other AP members will know the information.
At first I guessed that it was powered by VW Kubelwagen but it's possibly a Wartburg, since that powered a later FJ design.
I think you'd better unlock the puzzle. Here's the car at Budapest in 1957.

Neither VW nor Wartburg powered. The information on this car can be found in several places online, including one of the most widely used resources!
The lock will automatically expire tonight at midnight GMT, so take another look.

You're right - I was being lazy but the site which I would normally use has an almost useless search function. However, it just worked. Mind you, I got a lot of suggestions concerning Spongebob Squarepants.
The caption for the photo I posted said 1957 but one archive reckons 1958 and that was the first Krab, model 700 but referred to in the Polish Championship as 75. This was designed by Jerzy Jankowski, driven by Wladyslaw Paszkowski, and powered by a Royal Meteor 700 motorbike engine. Later cars were fitted with Triumph 650 engines.

That's it!
