Wilhelm Dunz´s one-off Oakland with coachwork by?
« on: November 23, 2017, 12:38:11 PM »
I need all of your expertise here, so I immediately placed this puzzle in the professional section.

Found in a german forum and with the allowance of the guy who posted it there I hope we will find out more about this unique car.

My guess would be that this car could very well be Steyr based.

The rear wheel look like Steyr XXX and the front wheels like Steyr 200.

The bodywork seems to be a remininiscence to this well known streamlined Spohn Maybach.

Can anybody help? I have revealed all I know so far...

Reminds me of the Demati.

Yes, the Belgian Demati follows comparable design principles, but it is still quite different...

It follows more the styling idea of the American 1934 Coleman:

Indeed!

Very cool - thank you Pal - this is your point #999! - only I would really love to know who created this bodywork.

we can send a reader's letter to AustroClassic. Wolfgang Buchta will be happy to publish it. Can you please send an original scan of the newspaper article via email?
