Thanks a lot Hiawatha. That's a Leyland OPS3 of 1950, an O600 engined Tiger, also named Valiant with 377 built, from Buller Motorways.
Maybe bodied by NZMB ?

The National Library of New Zealand shows a photo similar to yours, taken in February 1951. I can't find any info about the coachbuilder. Maybe Hawke ?
