title changed
Since the number of characters in the title is limited, it could not be displayed completely:
"Hillman Stiletto convertible with optional and removable hardtop by Eiffel Motor Works"

The reason I chose this image for the puzzle was solely because of the mounted hardtop, which bears a faint resemblance to the British Stiletto Coupe. If I had posted a picture of the open convertible car, the puzzle would have been solved in a few seconds.

Regarding your question, "Is the soft top the non-British part?"..
.. I answered with, "Not a soft-top"

I would be happy if you could explain the error in my answer you noticed

It is possible of course to have a convertible which does not have a soft-top.
If it's an open car with no hood but only a removable hardtop then it is a convertible but not a soft-top!
