While it's strongly encouraged for surveillance there's no info I can find so far that mentions it being in military use.

The info is more focused on the Four DRobot functions than the authors. What I've learnt is that the "drive by wire" prototype's creators are the Algonquin College students. The 3D render was made by Studio 63. So far, the development has been made by Four DRobotics and partners, like Carleton University, University of Ottawa, NRC-CNRC, and others. It has a lot of technology installed
for physical security, surveillence and response in real time.
