Aircraft or racing car?
What is the name of the unicum? Who designed it? Who commissioned it? Who drove it? Where and when was it used? With what success?

1972 Parnelli Offenhauser VPJ-1 "Viceroy Special" Indy Car.    Viceroy (Cigarette makers) did sponsor the Parnelli Jones "super team" of Mario Andretti, Al Unser, and Joe Leonard.  Leonard did win the USAC championship in 1971 and '72 so I'm ging to guess it's him sat in the car. The car appeared at Goodwood in 2006.

Sorry I missed it out, the designer was ex-Team Lotus designer Maurice Philippe.
