Well, finally, I wanted to send it to the black hole. Congratulations! In my source signed as Opel & Bayschlag
-
Thanks for the point!
-
Are you sure that Opel & Beyschlag was anything more than a dealer? I can find no mention of any automobile production by them. I think they just produced some motorbikes in their early days. They surely were the first Opel dealers outside Germany, but even Austro Classic doesn't mention any car production by them. The old ad in the previous post also just mentions that they have been able to import some Opel-Darracqs before the custom fees were raised.
-
Maybe so, but in the statistics of the race Das Semmering Rennen 1907 it is written like this
-
At first I want to inform you, that the correct spelling of "Opel & Beyschlag" was ever and is: Opel & Beyschlag! For 100 percent sureness.
Secondly, in my opinion, there is a linguistic misunderstanding, depending the 'reading the statistics of the 'Semmering Rennen 1907':
Opel & Beyschlag's Darracq (Robert Koch), means: Entered by: Opel & Beyschlag (correctly written!), Car: Darracq, Driver: Robert Koch
Compare with line above:
Max Klug's Sizaire & Naudin (Max Klug), which means: Entered by: Max Klug, Car: Sizaire & Naudin, Driver: Max Klug
In my opinion, 'Opel & Beyschlag' never produced cars. Only motorcycles (1904+). But I will go on searching. Sometimes miracles will happen...
-
Maybe they didn't release them, but they could put their bodies on German chassis.
-
Here is a description of the company from 1905 - no mention of any coachbuilding activities
