My records show this car as a modified (well, mostly cut-down) 8-passenger 1949 Crown Imperial sedan, built by Chrysler's Engineering Division as a camera car for MGM Studios in Hollywood. It appears on Page 268 of George H. Dammann's Crestline book, 70 Years of Chrysler.

Yes, that's it.  As far as I know two were built, This one for RKO (Radio-Keith Orpheum) Studios by Chrysler Engineering Division 1947, I guessed the other one for MGM Studios
