Automotive Engineer magazine commissioned Lotus Design in 2009 to imagine an urban electric vehicle for the future. The result was not exactly groundbreaking even for that time, although it combined some nifty ideas from other cars, such as the extremely space-efficient four-seater packaging, electric powertrain under the floor, sliding doors, etc. Then again, Lotus did not invest a lot of time in this project, turning in the final proposal just two weeks after the initial brainstorm with the magazine editors.
