The base car is the Simca 1307 from 1975. Depending on the country of destination and/or assembly location it featured many other names as well such as:
Simca 1308: Bigger engine than the 1307.
Simca 1309: Bigger engine than the 1307 and 1308.
Chrysler Alpine: For the New Zealand, Ireland and U.K. markets (assembly took place in New Zealand and U.K.).
Dodge Alpine: For the Colombian market (assembly took place in Colombia).
Chrysler 150: For the Spanish market (assembly took place in Spain)
During its production span in 1980 the car got a facelift. The facelift versions were marketed as:
Talbot 1510
Talbot Alpine (for U.K. market)
Talbot 150
Talbot Solara (4-door saloon instead of hatchback version of this vehicle)
