SOLVED: Djetset 1084 - AMI-built connection (Toyota, Rambler, Merc-Benz, Triumph

Four cars, all with one common connection. Correctly identify what that connection is and a point might become yours.

Michelotti is involved, but as far as I know, only in the case of The Triumph. By the way, this was also Michelotti's personal car...

Although Michelotti designed one of the cars in this quartet, he is not the connection between the four cars I'm afraid.

No, that's not true of the Toyota Tiara/Corona, and also not correct as...

... yes, each of these models (Toyota Tiera, Rambler AMX, Mercedes-Benz 220S and Triumph 2000/2.5 Pi) were all built in the same Port Melbourne factory by AMI (Australian Motor Industries, with an 'n'). Well done Norbertanke, you get the point.
