Who can give me: make, Formula and year for this car?
-
Experts?
-
I think it's time for the Pros as the Experts appear to be baffled.
-
KDV 1300, Formula Easter, 1986
-
That was quick!
Do you happen to know what KDV stands for? (Not part of the puzzle)
-
The puzzle car is KDV 3
KDV = K(onstrukter?) D(louhy) V(orel)
Jaroslav Vorel started his race career with touring cars. Later on he raced a MTX 1-02 monoposto in hillclimbs, in 1983 a MTX 1-06. In the 1984 season, Vorel won the Czech Formula Easter championship (I think to remember, with KDV 2, but I am not sure about)
In 1985, together with Karel Dlouhy, he developed the Lada-powered KDV 3 with duralumin monocoque. With the KDV 3 Vorel became Czech Formula-vice-champion in 1986 and 1987. In 1988 he competed in Formula Mondial and went on to win the national championship. In 1989 he debuted with the KDV 4, a Volkswagen-powered Formula 3 car in the German Formula 3 championship. He took part in two races.
Pardon, I am not sure, but did you forget to award me with a point for solving the puzzle? Sorry, if you did it, and I couldn't remember clearly my previous score
-
I did definitely give you your point'
My source had KDV as standing for Karel Dlouhey and Vorel. It just struck me as an unusual combination - including the driver in the name.
-
I am very sorry, I really don't have any clue about the point score.
Yes, I agree with you. I have a second source too, mentioning KDV as standing for Karel Dlouhey and Vorel

Sorry to correct you!
The last time you gave points to anyone was on March, 20. Fromwien solved this puzzle on March, 22!
-
Whoops! My apologies - I don't know how that happened. The missing point has now been added.

Thank you very much
