Not that late.  I think it is a car built in 1954 or so and photographed later, in the year it appears most often in records posted on the usual Internet sites.

(It has been observed that the bonnet line is rather low for a Bristol motor, and the air intake would correspond to the SU carbs for an MG engine. Just an observation)

I agree that it looks a little low for a Bristol engine, but it does appear set well back in the chassis.  It doesn't look like pictures of any other Tojeiro, whether Climax, MG, Butterworth, or Jaguar powered.  I therefore took the caption of Tojeiro-Bristol as correct.  Unfortunately I don't have a copy of the John Tojeiro biography, which presumably includes pictures of most of his cars.
