I'm surprised we haven't had this car before.
For a point please tell me car, race and year

No interest from the Rookies so it's up to the Experts.

Aston Martin DB3S?  Yes
RAC TT Dundrod? Yes
1953? No
Eric Thomson? No

This is Eric Thompson in 1953.  The body is different.

1954 is correct.  A Point is on its way.

I didn't ask the driver as it's Peter Collins, but the colouriser appears to have coloured his brown helmet wrongly.
Both this and the 1953 Eric Thompson car had the same chassis: DB3S-2

The phot highlights the danger of using colourised photos  , helmet colours can be identifying clues in photos

I totally agree.  It was only while investigating its history after posting the puzzle that I realised the driver could only be Peter Collins, who used a brown helmet, and that the picture was colourised.  It was too late so say so by then.
