I can find references to this car on the internet, but no real background. It's not mentioned on their Wikipedia page (but neither is their F3 car) and not in any of my reference books. I assume that it was a one-off commission, but it seems an odd way to go about entry into CanAm racing.

(Whisper it quietly - is it that same Piper company ?)
