No, I take that back. Hansa?

sichel

Yes, it is a Hansa. Please name type and year of construction. Locked for you.

1934-1937 Hansa 1100.  1700 would have five vents at the top.

sichel

Yes, it is a Hansa 1100. Your reasoning hits the nail on the head, but the production period was longer.

Yes, the 1100 was introduced at the Berlin Motor Show in 1934 and continued until 1939.  Sources are contradictory, but some imply that the 1939 1100 was Borgward-badged.

This detailed and correct answer is absolutely worth a point!

I think the header should be altered. Hansa-Lloyd was Borgward's truck brand, while the cars were just badged as Hansa.

I've never seen a Hansa 1100 badged as a Borgward 1100, but at least there were brochures calling the car a Borgward 1100, see below.

marmer

Yes, I think this is true.  It may have been called a Borgward Hansa but they were probably concentrating on introducing the Borgward 2000 and 2300 which also had fancy hood vents.  They were probably just selling off the remaining Hansas.  I don't actually see one with a Borgward logo either.
