No
Gas in the meaning of natural gas or rather gasoline? Or no to both?

Was it built for use in a particular journey or location?

fromwien

It has been used in a British area

This vehicle has just appeared in the Society of Automotive Historians Britain's Times. It is called the Utility Saloon built as a light recovery tender , powered by a Perkins P6 engine mounted centrally in the chassis. Somebody is looking for more information on this vehicle

fromwien

Yes, 'Utility Saloon' is part of the car's designation. Built as a light recovery tender and Perkins P6 engine is also correct.
LOCKED for you to find builder and complete designation

pnegyesi

That is all which is in the article. Builder is not mentioned - in fact the writer of the reader's letter is asking for more information :)

Just out of curiousity, was the builder Morgan and was this built in 1953?

fromwien

Just enough to earn a pre-Christmas-point! Congratulation

this is all a bit weird to me, very weird. Without linking, all I am saying is that it was published by Commercial Motor in 1953 and it doesn't show up if you search their archive, it only shows up if you look at the extract in Google Books.

Thanks for the point.
