Yes, a special sightseeing bus used for the Tokyo Olympics. Pretty fascinating.

1963 Mitsubishi Fuso Super Deluxe Hato Bus A / B type
In April 1963 (Showa 38), Shin Nihon Kanko Co., Ltd. (currently Hato Bus) debuted a state-of-the-art ultra-luxury bus ahead of the Tokyo Olympics. Two types of A and B bodies with unique designs are mounted on the Mitsubishi Fuso chassis. The A type called "Moonlight Mask", which is famous for being designed by Mr. Heitatsu Igarashi, who was a leading researcher in automobile history / automobile culture history, is by Keisei Motor Co., Ltd., and the B type called "Goldfish bowl" is Yanase.

The A type "Mitsubishi Fuso / Keisei Motor Co., Ltd./AR470S modified" features a mask on the front of the bus, which is a "moonlight mask". It was nicknamed. These became a hot topic as the most advanced buses at that time, and greatly contributed to improving the image of Hato Bus.

By the way, both vehicles are equipped with a 4-track tape recorder that records course guidance in four languages: English, French, German and Spanish. The response to foreign tourists was not overlooked. In the same year, the upper part of the deluxe salon car introduced in 1958 was cut off and improved to an open bus. The open-minded bus caught the eye of the passers-by, and made us aware of the existence of Hato Bus in Tokyo.
