I'm pretty sure it's not captioned "Red Baron"

Now I know.
Not Red Baron or Kay.
The name is indeed Ray and it is Corvair-Based.
You can start asking, now I have the answers!

From your last reply I take it that this Ray's last name  isn't Keane, or Kenna, or Kendle, or Kandle, right?

Yes, and without any other info...
Not Keane\Kenna\Kendle\Kandle or K......
It's Corvair based, but has side-pipes? ???
Very good point!
My source reports: "fake exhausts hide Corvair base".
(I change the words, so it's not googable...)

Judging by this pic, this car, (which clearly was never dubbed "Red Baron"  ;) ) had it's Corvair engine mounted up front.

It's Ray Henrie's "Stellar"
Those four words captioned say: Ray Henrie, Utah "Stellar"

I keep on searching to find anything about the obscure fact that it was Corvair engined...
