De Soto Sport Custom 1957, made by a De Soto engineer out of the parts left over when the De Soto factory closed

Yep - according to the seller of this 1957 De Soto sport custom, a De Soto engineer decided to build a custom car out of the parts left over when the De Soto factory closed..............four years later.

It seems it also has Buick headlights, Dodge taillights, and a whole lotta chopped and channeled DeSoto body pars, stainless steel trim, and some big ol' whitewalls.

Whether the story behind the car is true or not, that is the ID I was looking for. Nice work!
