It is a Fiat-based Murena, and the coachbuilder was something like Baldelli...

:faint:

Where the hell did you got this from? (seemingly from a French source, like me!)
Coachbuilder Baldelli came from Sicilia, but I do not know much more about the car!

Additional infos are highly appreciated!

I don't know much myself about this car... I have the same pic with some explanations in a Spécial Salon issue of the french periodical L'Auto-Journal ; there is also a little notice in Roger Gloor's book Alle Autos der 70s...

Exactly my source! The 1972 edition of "Le Salon De L'Auto " published by L'AUTO-JOURNAL.

And the Gloor book says in its chapter for small series cars: Baldelli presented 1971 in Turin a weird looking 2+2 coupe which was named 'Murena'. Equipped with 1,3l or 1,6l Fiat engines a small series was planned. Remarkable was the odd-shaped rear side window.
(unfortunately hardly to see on that pic)
I guess it must be featured in one of the period Italian magazines like QR as well. Maybe PJ or 75america take a look?

I was wating for this too...  :-\
Carrozzeria Baldelli was from Capo d'Orlando, Messina.
It's a 2+2 studied for 1200 to 1600cc engines.
It is featured on Quattroruote #191.

A drawing of the car, more or less from the same angle, with the side of the car more visible: nothisg wrong with the rear-window, it seems.
I'll upload it, but not these days...quite busy...

Hi!

My name is Debora Baldelli and I can tell you a bit more about Murena. Murena was created by Angelo, Gianni and Giorgio Baldelli. Giorgio is my father, Gianni and Angelo are my uncles. Gianni still has a car workshop in Rome; Angelo worked several years projecting (drawing) car engines (sorry, don't know the specific name of that), even for Lamborghini. Now Angelo lives in Brazil. Giorgio my father was responsible for making me a car lover, kind of a family tradition. Unfortunately he passed away a few years ago.

Angelo would love to talk about Murena. If you have any questions, he can answer them in English, Italian, French and Portuguese. I have just sent him a picture of Murena last week (I have lots of pictures) and it's in his profile picture at facebook. Go talk to him overthere:
http://www.facebook.com/profile.php?id=100002068684607

I have a video about Murena, it was recorded at a Swiss TV many many years ago. I will do my best to upload it at youtube.

Sorry if I can't give more details, I just think my uncle Angelo is the best person to do that. I will send him this forum query just after I click on the "post" button :)

Thanks for all your interest about my family's car. I was really happy to read all of this.

Best,
Debora Baldelli

WOW! These are good news!
Thank you so much for posting Debora!
Maybe that will start a new discussion for a Autopuzzles.com account at FB!

Ciao Deborah,

benvenuta ad Autopuzzles!
Please try to share some pictures of this interesting car and once you let your uncle join this forum, don't leave...you are a car lover after all  ;)
I'll be in Rome next week, can you give me the name of Gianni's workshop? If I'll have time I can try to contact him!
