Quebec's road racing's finale at Circuit Mont-Tremblant

The picturesque Circuit Mont-Tremblant, sited in the Quebec's Laurentians was again the scene of the final meeting of the road racing categories. For once, the weather was gorgeous with the temperatures reaching some twenty degrees. All series had scheduled exciting double headers for that final race of the year.

The Formula Tour 1600 series saw two different race winners. Rémy Audette captured victory in race 1 while Olivier Bonnet finished first in race 2. Having claimed first and second places, Audette became the new series' champion, taking the crown away from veteran Didier Schraenen.

The two heats of the Toyota Pirelli Cup were also very hotly disputed. Veteran racer Yves Legris entered the weekend as the overall series' leader. He finished twice in fourth place and collected the championship with a total of 107 points. Following Legris in the final standings are Jean-François Veilleux (98 points), Jean-François Dumoulin (87), Jacques Bélanger (77) and Benjamin Distaulo (75).

Wafer-thin!

I'll add Nürburgring to the list, and that'll be the 6th time the N is used. The person following me with something starting with a G, will be only the 3rd person to do so.

Other letters that have been used extensively, and that we might be wise to avoid if we want to keep the game alive, are I (9 times - there are a lot of Italian drivers whose names end with an I, but not so many drivers whose names start with one), S (9 times - but there are more options here), E (8 times), A (7 times), R and N (6 times) and Y (5 times).
