The Treit and Davenport streamliner was on the salt flats for display and a bit of "trial run" testing of the car carrier and the trailer, etc. It didn't compete at that event, but drew a whole lotta attention. It has to be the most comprehensive "build diary" of a streamliner...ever.
I can't emphasize enough how well this car is designed and crafted. To illustrate that point, I'll add a quote that Jim Jensen (Chief Starter and LONG-time salt flats veteran) made. He told team principal Marlo Treit, "Marlo, I was wondering why it took ya 12 years to build it; now I'm wondering how ya got it done so quick."
