RIP James Garner
« on: July 20, 2014, 04:08:04 AM »
Actor and racer James Garner has passed away 7/19/2014...cause of death not yet known...

He was my favorite actor, and kind of a mentor, I guess...I remember his definition of acting as being in a situation where you're trying to make people believe that you're saying things you've rehearsed over and over for the first time.  That always served me well in school.

That's a bummer. A man's mas, a solid actor, and a real car nut.
You wanna be the man, you gotta Name That Car!

For we enthusiasts in the UK, the film "Grand Prix" is actually, and fortuitously, being televised on BBC2 today. Pure coincidence, but a nice touch all the same.

RIP James. I get the impression from obituaries that you were one of the nice guys.
I must be right - that's what it says on Wikipedia
