Topic: High Level Stuff At A Very Low Level

On the weekend of March 30 - April 1, a contingent of AutoPuzzlers and CarNuts will descend on the kart track at Virginia International Raceway (VIR) to go head to head with the best kart drivers in the world in a knock down, drag out challenge for total world supremacy. It is possible that, along the way, a beer or two will be consumed and a great deal of hyperbole will be employed.

For the record, the participants will feature one Stephen M (accompanied by the lovely and vivacious Laura J, who wants nothing to do with us), Jagman, and myself (MG) along with CarNuts stalwarts Dre, F (Minus) 1 and Falcon, who will be campaigning his T1 Corvette on the big track during the weekend in order to keep his mind off the important part -driving a 6 hp kart with 360 degree bumpers as fast as possible on a 5/8 mile track.

We will be attempting to provide same day video coverage of this extravagaza and a running commentary on who is fast and who is last.

It is going to be a good old fashioned double throw down hoot. Be sure to stay tuned for details and updates.

Speaking strictly for myself, I have always THOUGHT of myself as an excellent driver. And yet, save for a spate of autocross fever earlier in life, I have never driven competitively and never raced with others on the same track at the same time. So some lifelong questions will get answered this weekend. 

But putting that all aside, it promises to be a major league good time with lots of  , the occasional  and plenty of this. and. this
