Petrol nearly wins Sebring
« on: March 20, 2011, 07:03:48 AM »
How's that for you, guys? Highcroft HPD has nearly made it yeaterday, losing a mere 30+ seconds to a grandfathered ORECA 908 HDi FAP and winning 10 seconds from a new factory Peugeot.

Very happy for Team ORECA Matmut, but the closer the finish have been the more I wanted a petrol engined car to win from diesels, as it could have been a serious statement from all non-Audi and non-Peugeot participants. The fact that HPD ARX-01e is a modified last year's car which in turn is a product of a steady evolution from a 2000 (!) Courage LC60 makes is even more sensible.

Your thoughts?
