I never saw another 4 seater where person #3 and #4 were positioned directly behind an open wheel...
Which company built this race car for which event?

Did the car actually compete in the race, or was it eliminated in the trials ?

The text of the original source claims it was "victorious".
Not sure if it only was successful in its class though.

There were only 3 competitors, 2 Panhards and a Mors. A Panhard was the only finisher and this isn't it. This is confusing - the Gordon Bennett Cup was run in conjunction with the Paris-Bordeaux road race, and I wonder if this car was competing in the latter.

Now we're in the unfortunate situation where I didn't properly save my source.
All I know is that the photo was published in a magazine from 1903—and unfortunately,
I no longer have any additional text or context available.
It's possible the vehicle was in use before 1902—in fact,
the only thing I can say for certain based on the source is the manufacturer.

QuoteCould it be the Thorn and Hogan ?

> no, sorry.

The engine looks too big to be a voiturette or light car. Is it the Delahaye ?

No - it was built by a well known German brand.

??? It doesn't look like a Mercedes - is it an Otto ?
