I think it's actually impossible that this Fiat 500 has been coachbuilt by Scaglietti, for several reasons: first of all, the car (That a lot of Topolino experts know quite well, plate VA 26029 and previous plate from Como) comes from 1939 and Carr.Scaglietti began to work just in 1951, than, because Scaglietti had coachbuilt sports car only (almost just Ferrari), and never spent time in modifying little cars such as Fiat 500...and should they have worked on a Topolino base, they would have realized a Sport barchetta, but obviously not an elegant cabriolet. The 500B dates 1948, so this car is obviously a 500A. The lines of this beautiful cabriolet remind Bertone ones; there is another car, whose body dates from 1947 (on a 1936 chassis), realized by Bertone that is very similar in the front shape. It belongs to a period, during which Bertone was trying new lines for his Amica on 500 mechanics; I will try to find a picture of that car and I will add to this post. Obviously I'm ready to apologize if there are proofs of Scaglietti connections with this car...apart from the article where it's described like that.
