You say that this is not a well-known brand but fairly important. Does this mean that maybe it introduced a technical feature that was adopted by many makes?

I think that may be a 40 h.p. Dolphin, built by the Two-Stroke Engine Co. Ltd, Shoreham and the engine for it was designed by Harry Ricardo, a cousin of the company's owner.
