5arb: Alfa Romeo C52 3000 MM Disco Volante recreation by Al Cortes of El Segundo, California

37arb: Alfa Romeo Disco Volante Replica built in 1994 by Jose Zarnes in Argentina. Jose Zarnes had the technical drawings of the original car and didn't build this replica by reverse engineering. The car has an original Alfa 1600CM engine installed.

26arb: This was advertised as a 1953 Alfa Romeo Barchetta
"Tubular chassis taken from Conrero drawings and photos. All alloy doors, bonnet and boot including frames. body is in thin steel. Beautifully proportioned and with perfect dimensions from every angle. Correct 220 wheelbase and front /rear track. Fitted with Alfa type 116 1800 engine and Alfa type 105 1750 gearbox."

Previously this car appeared on a well-known Alfa website by a user, named "Fletcher". I believe he, Rupert Fletcher was the builder.

22arb. I believe this is the 1953 Alfa Romeo Disco Volante 3000

40arb. If I am not mistaken, this was built by Norberto Vigano - according to a Facebook page (not yours)

9arb: Nope. The car was indeed found in Austria, but was done somewhere else. I'm looking for its builder.

What particularly strikes me when searching for these cars is how difficult it is to find out who actually built the evocations.
Even the 'respectable' auction houses describe them as "Date of build: 1953" or whenever it looks like it's from.  Then they go on in the blurb to say it is a homage to the 1950s Alfa Barchettas, built in the 1990s or whenever, but don't make any mention who actually built the bodywork.
I think they're preparing for the day when nobody knows the difference any more and they can pass off these cars as the real thing...

Today three cars where I haven't been able to find a builder:

18arb: Said to be a 1956 Alfa Romeo 1900 Barchetta, engine block is from a 1952 AR 1900 Berlina, but the head is from a FNM 2300, so probably from Argentina too.

23arb: Alfa Romeo 1953 Barchetta Modificato 1900, number plate 961 UYR, built recently, registered in the UK and is documented on the V5C as a '1953 Alfa Romeo 1900'. the engine is Alfa Romeo's classic four-cylinder, twin-camshaft unit derived from the 60's Spider model.

25arb: Alfa Romeo 1900 Barchetta Frianchistretti Replica, Tube Frame, 2.0L Alfa Engine and Alfa Gearbox, Body is Fiberglass, inner fitting is in Aluminium. The car is right from Argentina.

You've been very sporty. The car was not locked but you waited and asked. Thank you.
This car is more complicated than expected. As ok94 wrote from the beginning, it can be found in Vintage Racing Cars website. But in their website you can find a lot of cars and some of them are made by someone else. For this reason I had to investigate on the ones I was in doubt. Another website features several pictures of this car under development, togheter with others you can find in VRC website. I found Diego de Luca name as well, and it's the one I was looking for.
  After further investigation I suspect VRC is De Luca's company.   Oko94 was right as well.
