Well, this is frustrating. I've found your photo, so I now know exactly where and when it was taken, but the source provides no information on the car or its driver. Still looking ...

Guy Loveridge, in his book Speed Trial: the Chateau Impney Sprint 1957-1968 used this picture, along with quite few more of ours, and captions it as:E.J.Blakeman of SUNBAC [Sutton Coldfield & North Birmingham Motor Club] fights the unconventional-looking Mongrel JAP to a decent 27.65 seconds in Class 7 for up to 500cc Formula 3 and Formula Junior Racing Cars.In the book, it looks to me that he thinks the picture is from 1964, though it’s not explicitly stated. He prints it on the same page as another of ours which is definitely 1964 (the Lotus-Cortina mentioned below). Classic and Sports Car magazine recently printed the same picture in an article on our pictures and give the same driver and car, but date it to 1963. We were there taking pictures both years, and our record-keeping is either rubbish or non-existent, but from the context of other photos, which I can date, I think 1964 is right – also I trust Guy’s knowledge, and I think he had access to all the event’s records. I’d question his description of ‘fights’, though. Looks to me as though EJ is completely in control, with not a hair out of place.
It was Classic & Sportscar that I was trusting.
