East Europe?
Well I usually avoid using that term because definitions of what countries constitute "Eastern Europe" vary a lot from one person to another, but yes, I don't think there is any definition in which this country would not be included.

Let me help - if they were europeans and communists it's Eastern Europe. if they passed you hundreds of billions recently they're still eastern europeans. former communists.

'Eastern Europe' has been an accepted term for as long as I can remember for Poland, Romania, Hungary, East Germany (or if you want to be politically correct 'The German Democratic (!!) Republic'), what used to be Czechoslovakia, Bulgaria, Yugoslavia, Lithuania, Latvia and Estonia.  Other countries, like Ukraine, might be eastern European but were lumped under the USSR.
'Western Europe' is everywhere else in Europe, including countries like Finland, which of course is much further east than Poland!  But everyone knew what was being talked about.  The terms still sticks though the politics (and the names of countries like Yugoslavia) might have changed.

I find the "Eastern Europe" problem mainly comes up with countries like Greece, Cyprus or the European side of Turkey, which are also further East than countries in the traditional "Eastern Europe" definition. If you asked me now if a Greek car is from Eastern Europe, I wouldn't be sure what to respond, for fear of misleading the players. Or what about a car made in Berlin? Would it be Eastern or Western European? Depends on when it was built? This is all problematic.

Could be down to the vagaries of the English language and the difference between 'East European' and 'Eastern European'!
Even I'm not sure which one would refer to Greece!  I'd say that would be 'Eastern European' as 'East European' would normally refer to the old USSR-controlled countries.
Berlin would be easy as it would depend which section the car was built in.
