It looks German to me.  A Westphalia conversion?

Yes, Otmar is the first name of the builder, and he used two VW Vanagon to build this one, still missing the another base car. And it has a proper name "Stretchxx" (missing the last two letters).

Locked for you to find the builder's last name, the other base car and that last two letters

Strechla, Good!. But the engine and the other based car are not VW.  It's a very particular car

I've been seeing a few videos and articles about this car, none of them mentioned a diesel engine. And the One Gen II EV-1, I think you're talking about GM electric engine, Strechla engine is not a GM.

By the way there's a video removing VW's old drivetrain

You are looking for Tesla Model S.

Looking at the info I found now, this is an ongoing project that is being modified over time.
So as far as I get it there are 4 vehicles in this project!

Now I understand what is going on.  This car has been for different stages. The last stage before retired was the Tesla Model S. Let's move it to solved

Strechla Electric VW T3 Extended using a Tesla Model S (scratched) built by Otmar Ebenhoech since 1998 to circa 2016 USA
