This is the Courier Cadillac based on a 1978 Cadillac Seville. Built in Haverhill, Suffolk England by a group of local businesses in the late 1980s as a prototype for a possible production model. It's inspiration was a 500K Mercedes.

I have just read a book about the design and build of the car.

Well done, you've got it, and I didn't know about the book, which looks interesting. The car is currently for sale. Another point to you.
