Yes, this is the photo of the inner roof lining, which I turned 90 degrees to save some space. Here it is again in its original form, as taken by me from the rear seat.

I know the book you are referring to, but sadly I don't have a copy so I can't reliably say if this make/model is mentioned or not, although it is the sort of car John Bolster would have been intrigued by.
