according to their website they had european campus in Vevey, Switzerland about 4 kms from Château de Sully so I can assume You found it
This concept was created in Art Center College of Design but now You have to find the designer

i think the base was suppose to be VW Golf but since there was no full scale car, exact model was not chosen

The school was actually located at the Chateau (which was renovated for that purpose).

Was the student designer Guido de Groot?

Yes, as it was near Vevey. My daughter is a current student at ArtCenter and their photo archives contain hundreds of images of the school at Château de Sully, including images documenting the renovation.

Come to think of it, they may also contain images and details of the puzzle car...
