According to the information I have, this is not a Monomille, nor is it 850cc.

Yes It was made by DB, based on Panhard components.  Yes, its capacity was 500cc.  All I want now is the model name.

I think Fromwien is correct in stating that the car is Leblanc ex Farin.
However it seems it is a replica  (one of three) of a Racer made by Alain Gawsky and fitted with a Panhard 850 engine with a very hot camshaft. Info taken from a very nice french website.

Sorry to say, but you aren't right at all!
You chose a very special car for this puzzle. That one of Joel Leblanc, ex Christian Farin, as I've stated sometimes before.
This car is a copy of the DB 500 Racer!
It's made by Alain Gawski. He built 5 of these copies. The chassis is based on the design of Raymond Janniaud, but with a different front suspension, with upper triangulated wishbones instead of the usual upper transverse leaf spring! Very easy to be inspected in the picture.

Please be so kind and check at the right websites and correct the vehicle's wrong description. I don't want any point, but for sure correct solutions and right descriptions

Sorry, I took it as accurate when two totally independent sites referred to a car named as DB Racer 500 with neither saying it was a copy.
However, I don't think the answers I gave were misleading, given that I asked for the maker and the model name and not for owner or vendor.

Sorry,
but unfortunately I can't leave it like that. Of course I have to accept, that it seems you didn't know enough about the car at the time of listing.
Despite assuming that this as an accurate Racer 500 DB (ignoring the front axle), one cannot, on one's own assumptions, decide that the car will be named as an accurate Racer 500 DB, while Hiawatha and me where at the right way to identify this car really!

Please have a look at my answer from June 18, 2022, 06:31:16 PM: DB Monomille 850cc, Joël Leblanc, ex Christian Farin

Everything has been answered correctly, only not Monomille. And 850cc is also right and wrongly answered by yourself.
Sorry, but if everyone may call any puzzle car as she/he wants, it will get clearly impossible, to get correct solutions.

Two proofs attached
I hope that these are convincing, and that not one's own imagination, but the truth comes into its own

Just a short explanation:
Anyone who intensively guesses on AutoPuzzles knows that the puzzle car looks like a Racer 500 DB. And it seems obvious that a riddle cannot be that simple on AutoPuzzles.
The special front axle led to intensive research and answers made. See another proof attached with CORRECT Racer 500 DB front axle.
I hope you can see the difference.
If this difference does not need to be recognized, each variant of any car can always be labeled with its origin, and AutoPuzzles is demoted to a comic page.

For all car-maniacs and enthusiasts, not point-hunters, here the correct description of that car:

Racer 500 DB lookalike, with different front suspension and 850cc engine, built by Alain Gawski. According to different sources 3 to 5 examples had been built by him. The puzzle car for Christian Farin, now owned by Joël Leblanc

It has not been built by DB!

This is the problem with the Internet and people putting up incorrect information.

I came across the photo i used for the puzzle which referred to the car as a Racer 500.  The site was unclear whether it was built by DB or based on a DB.  it was definite that it was Panhard-based and reduced to 500cc and that it was intended for 500cc racing but was eclipsed internationally by motorcycle engined cars such as the Cooper-JAP and Cooper-Norton but was raced in a national series in France.
When asked if it was built by DB, I said it was not but was based on a DB.  I then checked and  found a second site that said that the Racer 500 was built by DB hence my apologetic correction " Sorry, on double checking I find it was built by DB so I just want the exact model name please."  ie by then I was looking for a DB Racer 500.
When asked if it was an 850cc Monomille, I said it was not a Monomille (It is not, the Racer 500 is a different model).  I also said it was not 850cc as my source said it was a Racer 500
I never found any references to Alain Gawski, Christian Farin, or Joël Leblanc so, when these names were mentioned, I said i was simply looking for the model name (ie RACER 500).
When asked if I was looking for the word "Monoplace", I said no.  Correct me if I'm wrong but "Monoplace" simply means single seater.
After Hermanato came up with the answer i was looking for, namely DB Racer 500 I gave him the point and posted a second photo of a DB Racer 500.
After that Fromwein has stated it is a copy of a DB Racer 500, with an 850cc engine.  Note that it is not an 850cc DB Monomille which is a different model altogether
After that Fromwein reiterated it was a copy.

I stand by the answers I gave.  They reflect the information I had, and believed, that it was a picture of a [DB] Racer 500.  I accept that I did not know it was a copy or replica.

It is true that the internet is full of misinformation. I'm sure most of the AP regulars know which specialist sites will give accurate information - I have checked the usual F3 site and a 500cc DB is not listed. Just saying.
I must be right - that's what it says on Wikipedia
