Hello, all, I’m Otto’s brother Walt, and I’ve hijacked Otto’s ID and password, and will use my clandestine access to the site to proffer the following:
Most APM’s (AutoPuzzles Members) are aware of our “Featured Imagery” section. Those who are not, have a look - NOW!
http://www.autopuzzles.com/forum/featured-imageryOver the 10 first years of this site, over 200 photo collections have been started, added to, and commented upon. In that time, 10 picture post threads have proved the most popular, if measured by the number of replies and additions from other APM’s. As of the time of this writing, (2 April) the 10 most popular photo threads have been:
Vintage pedal cars - your posts are wanted!
Advertising automobiles / your contributions are welcome!
Cars and ? / Your Contributions are Welcome!
Nice anonymous cars, and who cares?
My car is soooo light! - Solved by many...
Flower parade cars + floats / Blumenkorsos / Your contributions are welcome!
Camping!! Cars & trailers
Diners and Drive-Ins / Your Contributions are Welcome!
People and Their Cars - Your Contributions are Welcome!
Companions Faithful & Otherwise: Cars and Dogs. Your Contributions Are Welcome!
Here is a way (though it may not be easy) to collect 10 special, limited edition Anniversary Points (with 16% more pointy goodness that our regular points)! All you must to do, before the Big Day (16 April, 2016 – or April 16, as we say here in the USofA) is find a singular photo that would fit into all of those 10 categories. Impossible? Probably, but I have often been surprised by the resourcefulness of you guys (and that one gal, from a few years ago).
But, just as non-Mercedes drivers are not expected to compete for no points in F1, I will award points, on a sliding scale, as follows:
1st post that combines 1+1: Points = 2
1st post that combines 1+2 Points = 3
1st post that combines 1+3: Points = 4
1st post that combines 1+4 Points = 5
1st post that combines 1+5: Points = 6
1st post that combines 1+6 Points = 7
1st post that combines 1+7: Points = 8
1st post that combines 1+8 Points = 9
Two more things to know
1. Points will be tallied on or after the Big Day.
2. Be sure to read the initial post in each of those threads to determine if a photo would or wouldn’t meet the criteria for that thread. Note: If you joined AP in October 2010, please re-read the previous sentence
I’m not sure I can do this before Otto finds out and changes his password, but I’ll try to add some more puzzles before he does! Being the stand-up guy he is, I’m sure he’ll award points, either way.
Have fun, lads (and you, lass, should you decide to drop in)!
